(Luke 23)
Well it's Good Friday, the day most Christians celebrate the death of Christ which SAVED us ALL from any and every SIN. Due to all the commercialization of Easter (just like Christmas), sometimes the real signifigance is lost among all the eggs. As believers, no matter what the world does, we ought to take this day to reflect, mediate, and THANK God for his mercy and his ultimate gift, JESUS!
When Jesus came to earth and took on an earthly body he came into "free will". When he was before Pilate he could have easily denied being Christ the King of the Jews but he didn't he LOVED us so much that he decided to do God's Will. This decision gave us as gentiles a chance to be SAVED from eternal damnation. Thank You JESUS!! When God sent his only Son he had FAITH in him because he knew that he (Jesus) also possessed unconditional and uncompromising LOVE and would not turn his back on the plan. Jesus also had FAITH in his Father because he knew that his Father's Will and Love was perfect.
This Christian walk is all about TRUSTING in an unfailing God and believing in his son Jesus who died and rose again to wash all of our sins away. Just as the thief that hung beside Jesus believed (Luke 23:42) so should we and no matter what the sin is it will be washed away and the slate wiped clean. Glory to God! This Good Friday reflect on his GRACE, MERCY, and the BLOOD that was shed on Calvary and give PRAISES to our RISEN SAVIOR!!!
No matter how many theories or speculations that arise....it is written, the tomb is empty! (Luke 24: 3,6)
**If any of you don't know Jesus as your personal Savior today believe IN him (Romans 10:9), repent of yours sins, and ask him to come into your heart and change your life! He is the Prince of Peace and a Wonderful Counselor your life will be much better with him in it!
Panther!
